GARLIC-INFUSED CRUNCHY CHILLI SAUCE

Inspired by the popular Gyu-Kaku menu item, this chilli sauce boasts the bold flavor of roasted chilli, the sweet aroma of fried garlic and provides the extra dimension of crunch into your meal.

Golden brown bits of crunchy garlic are folded into the chilli oil that begins its journey browning the garlic. This is a sauce that you just, absolutely, have to have, in your kitchen pantry.


Let's get started!





  • Garlic

  • Dried Chilli Flakes

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • Salt




Slice or Chop fresh garlic



Add EVOO to pan and bring to constant low heat

Fry garlic till golden brown

Remove and drain oil on kitchen paper towels

When totally cool, store in airtight container


Turn the fire off

Add the chilli flakes

keep stirring to ensure even browning

If oil is too cold to brown the flakes, turn on the fire again on low

Fry till darker in color.

Remove from oil to prevent burning



When oil and flakes are cool, combine and store in bottle

When ready to eat, combine crunchy garlice and chilli flakes and oil



This oil is perfect for topping Barbequed meats, stirring into hot, drained noodles, coating steamed dumplings
